Free QR Code Generator
Create a static QR code for a website, text, Wi-Fi network, email or phone number, then download it instantly. No account required.
Your content stays in your browser. No tracking, no redirects, no short links.
Your QR code appears here as soon as you enter something.
Create a QR code in seconds
Pick what the code should do, fill in the fields and the preview updates as you type. Download a PNG for screens and everyday printing, or an SVG for signs, packaging and anything that gets scaled up.
What can you use this QR generator for?
- Website or landing page links on flyers, menus, business cards and storefront windows.
- Wi-Fi codes so guests can join your network without typing a password.
- Email codes that open a pre-addressed message with a subject line.
- Phone codes that start a call with one tap.
- Plain text such as a short note, serial number or pickup instruction.
Static vs. dynamic QR codes
This generator makes static QR codes. The content is stored directly in the code, so it works for as long as the destination exists, with no account, subscription or redirect service in between.
Dynamic QR codes point to a short link that a service can change later and track scans on. We don't offer that here. If you need to change where a code points after printing, print a link to a page you control and update that page instead.
QR code scanning tips
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background scans best. Inverted colors fail on some phones.
- Leave a quiet margin around the code. A margin of 2 or more is safer for print.
- Print it large enough. Around 1 inch (2.5 cm) is a practical minimum for close-range scanning; go bigger for posters.
- Shorter content makes a simpler code. Long links produce denser codes that need more space.
- Always test the final printed version with two or three different phones.
How to create a QR code
- 01
Pick what the code should hold: a link, text, an email address, a phone number or Wi-Fi details.
- 02
Fill in the fields and adjust size, margin and colors if you need to.
- 03
Download the PNG for everyday use, or the SVG when it needs to print large.
Good to know
- These are static codes. The content is baked in, so it can’t be changed later without making a new code.
- There is no scan tracking and no redirect service in the middle — the code points straight at your content.
- Keep a good contrast between the code color and the background, or scanners may struggle.
- Test the printed size on a real phone. Long links make denser codes that need more space.
- Wi-Fi codes contain the password in plain form, so only share them where that’s fine.
Common questions
Is this QR code free to use commercially?
Yes. The code belongs to you and there’s no license, watermark or expiry attached.
Do the codes expire?
No. A static QR code keeps working as long as the link or content behind it works.
Can I track scans?
Not with this tool. Scan tracking needs a redirect service, which we deliberately left out so nothing you enter leaves your browser.
PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for screens and normal printing. Use SVG for signage, packaging or anything that gets scaled up, since it stays sharp at any size.
